Web Albums Organize your Documents

All documents added to your website are arranged by person and cross-filed by web albums. Users create web albums to manage their documents. This is a tool that organizes your photos, sources, and memorabilia by person and by the folder you set up in your family website. You can always rename and even delete albums (as long the folder is empty).

With our ancestry family tree program, you can add almost any type of document: multiple page pdf files, avi files, word, excel, jpeg, etc.

Manage your Media

When you add media to a person and cross file it in an album and you accidentally put a media file in the wrong album, you can easily rearrange your documents by putting them in another album.

Ability to Import Single or Multiple Images

When adding documents to a person, we have made it simple enough to add one or multiple images at a time.

Screen Overview with Instructions:

1. Choose the web album to put your media files in.
2. Click on the Browse Button to find your media files.
3. Add a caption for each photo, and the date of the media if known. Be sure to use your current date format when adding the information.
4. Add more detailed information about the file in the Description Box.
5. Mark the file private if you do not want to share it with your visitors.
6. If you don't want to upload the file, click on the Remove link and it will be deleted.
7. When ready, click on the upload Button.
8. Watch the progress of the files being uploaded. The bar will turn green when the files are finished loading.

Easily Link Documents to Many People

You can easily add sources and photos to multiple people, without having to retype all the details and upload the document for each person. This makes data entry easier and saves time. After the memorabilia is added, we make it easy for you to know who else is attached to the same media.

Manage Custom Events

You can create custom events that help with building your ancestry family tree. If you created multiple events that represent the same fact – such as Military and Military Service or Land and Land Patents, you can opt to merge “similar fact types” together.

You can have up to five active contributors at any given time to help you build your family ancestry.

Password and SSL Security for your Ancestry Family Tree

Passwords are sent to visitors and contributors through your invitation. If you have multiple trees, you decide who has access to which files. For security, accessing your website is always through SSL encryption.

As you build your ancestry tree, you have control over what information you want to share with your visitors. You can change your settings at any time for living people by deciding to show or hide the following details:

You have the option to keep any document for living or deceased people in your file private. This gives the user the option to be discretionary with their information.

Through the message center, users can send messages to contributors, visitors, and other researchers. The program saves your messages, where you can choose to edit or delete messages.

Collaborate with Researchers

Through our collaboration tool, you can contact other researchers who may be searching and tracing the same ancestor.
