Share genealogy documents with researchers using the program in our central repository of sources. Users who contribute documents can remove them at any time.

We make it easy for your family to help you build your family tree. You can grant access to up to 5 contributors so they can add or edit information about a certain relative.

Contributors can only make changes to information they added, and are not able to edit another contributor’s added information. You can monitor who made what changes and additions through your file stats audit trail.

Search for ancestors through FamilySearch family tree and collaborate with contributors.

Counties, States, Genealogical Societies and other family history groups can contact us to use our project API to create online family trees with specialized functions.

Family Index & Ancestor Management

Our online family tree application has a built-in family index that has advanced search features so you can search by birth, death, notes, or places.

The Program contains special icons so you can easily see who has unlikely family information, as well as who in your file is attached to other files in your database. By having a person attached to multiple files, you can update the person from any of the files, seamlessly. A unique feature only found with our program.

ourFamily•ology is loaded with tools to help make the process of building your family tree easy and enjoyable. We have a date calculator, a relationship calculator, and a tool to map your ancestors, descendents and living relatives. We also have tools to merge your files as well as merge people. You can even manage your locations by making mass updates so you don’t have to make updates to individual records. Our most unique tool, and only found through our online family tree application, is a source rating calculator. The source rating calculator helps you understand the rating of each of your sources, as well as a combined rating with up to three sources.

Source Management

Our online family tree application gives the user the ability to link a source, document, story, etc. to more than one family member with just a couple of clicks a great time saving feature. We also have a special icon so you can easily see who is linked to a document.

When adding information or a document you can keep it private if you don’t want to share it with your visitors.

Users can send an Email through the program and will get a case number for each question that is asked, which will be promptly answered. We also have a built-in help assistant that you can browse to answer most questions. We also have online tutorials that can be viewed at your leisure.

Everyone is required to have a separate log-in and password to access your private and public web-site.

Import and Export Documents and Files

Our online family tree builder uses standard family tree software programming file extensions. If you have .GED files, you can import as well as export your data. With our application, if you have added documents, letters, journals, stories, interviews, family books, medical records, military information, maps, photos, etc. they will automatically be part of your published website, as long as you have not marked the attachment as private. If you mark it as private, only you and your collaborative team will be able to view these documents.
