Natchez Trace

Following the Indian trails from Nashville, Tennessee to Natchez, Mississippi along the Mississippi River. The Indians used this trail for hunting. They allowed post riders through, but it was a path notorious for robbers, murderers, and slave stealers. The 500 mile route became a road in 1806 commissioned under the government.
